"I had the opportunity to serve in the YWAM Perth Kitchen. I arrived just to help out, but I left with my heart full of love, friendship and joy for having served in this group. I had an excellent time learning to cook and - at the same time - growing in my relationship with God and others through serving.
I think something that touched my heart was the wat we worked as a team and supported each other. You learn a lot, but at the same time, you enjoy relationship with the kichen team.
The leader, David, is a great teacher in showing the heart of God through his service in the kitchen. I learned to take initiative and to lead small groups; serve food; prepare lunch; and organize our work flow.
God works in unique ways, sometimes requiring you to take time and learn new things, like me - a builder. During this time I learned a lot about God's character: He is Unique, Organized, Beautiful"
